The Woodlands in Texas welcomed ironman triathletes and summer in a big way on May 18! The 2013 Memorial Hermann Ironman Texas turned out to be a definite challenge for me, but I finished 4th with an overall time of 9:36:51. Given the 88 degree Texas temperature, I was very pleased with my performance.

The Kona World Championship is now within my grasp. I just have to keep focused on capturing the remaining few points I need to qualify!! The balance between containing my excitement and focusing my energies to obtain peak performance is a real learning experience this season. My two next races is Eagleman 70.3 and then Coeur d' Alene ironman.
